$5000 Scholarship Contest
Don’t be fooled by a scholarship contest. Sure, you may win a $10,000 Scholarship that you can use “for any certificate, diploma or degree opportunity, including Private High School, GED, Certificate Programs, Associates Degrees, Undergraduate & Graduate School, Distance Learning, Home School, Continuing Education and Career Training.”

The “catch” is that you “must review offers from the sponsors” and you have to “confirm your email address”. IF you are prepared to do that, then go ahead and enter the “Free Scholarship Contest“.

The first step is to complete your profile, then review offers and confirm your email address.

Find Free School Scholarships - Free Search

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

This free scholarships service is for students, parents and teachers.

You’ll just need to provide some basic information so that free scholarships can be located for the student. As a parent you can look for free money for your son or daughter to attend college. Using just the basic required information, my search turned up 13 potential scholarships.

I was surprised! I thought that free scholarship money had “dried up”.

I also got a tip on 1 local job opening too. That was an unexpected bonus.

Tips
- You can disregard the ‘optional’ questions and misc. “offers” if you like.
- The more ‘optional’ questions you answer, the more scholarships will be listed

Are you so desperate for cash that you’ll go to these lengths for a quick fix? Next paycheck you’ll be short again. The cycle repeats itself over and over.Try debt counseling at the local social services department.

There are a few drastic situations where they can make sense. However, to pay for night out is not one of them!

Wall Street Bailout - What’s Your Opinion

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

Do you agree or disagree with the $700 billion Wall Street Bailout? Make your opinion known or keep quiet later!

If Washington votes NO, will the US face financial ruin? If Washington votes YES, will fatcat bankers and brokers walk off with excessive wages and stock options.

One website called “No Wall Street Bailout” says NO. A typical comment included

“The President lied about WMD. His Texas oil cronies have tripled the price of gas at the pumps. Why should we bail out his Wall Street friends?”

Even the word “bailout” signifies something less worthwhile than a “rescue” plan.

What is your opinion?
